The University of Warwick is a world-leading research-intensive university. Ranked 9th in the UK by The Guardian in 2020, it is a highly-regarded university with an excellent reputation in all aspects of its work and teaching. Students here are encouraged to be ambitious, and the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

It is primarily based on the outskirts of Coventry (and not within the city itself, as its name suggests) but also has a satellite campus in Wellesbourne and a London base at the Shard. Its main campus is on the site of a former car factory, and is arranged into three faculties: Arts, Science Engineering and Medicine and Social Sciences and Humanities.

There are a huge variety of courses on offer here, and students are encouraged to explore their interests through internships and other work placements. The university has partnerships with universities across the globe, including Columbia, McGill and Cornell in the US and UC Berkeley and Sciences Po Paris in France.

Ranked among the top 30 in Europe by The Times Higher Education, the University of Warwick is also renowned for its excellence in teaching and research. Its academic staff include two Nobel Prize winners, and other notable alumni are mathematicians Ian Stewart and David Preiss, field marshal Leslie Valiant and computer scientist Mike Cowlishaw.

Whatever you choose to do, you’ll find all the transport links you need to get there from your student accommodation in Warwick, with trains to London taking just over an hour!
