Today, in our modern American society, in stark contrast to the lackluster progress of allopathic medicine (physicians in general), a small but growing group of people have succeeded in reducing their incidence of chronic disease. They are adding healthy life to their years and sometimes beating cancer and heart disease as a leading cause of death. These healthy folks are really beginning to follow strict nutritional guidelines, exercise consistently, and use supplements religiously. Virtually everyone knows someone who belongs to this health-oriented group. Largely attempting to reject prescription drugs and medication as the key to maintaining your health, they have shown that health can be optimized with minimal assistance from the allopathic medical model.

Did you know that you can find doctors with an additional degree in homeopathic medicine? They have literally studied for thousands of hours on top of just having their medical degree, all in pursuit of the alternative journey of natural medicine.

Now let me be clear that when you absolutely need allopathic care, it is there. However, the difference between the two is this; allopathic treats the symptoms, homeopathic treats the causes. Homeopathic medicine focuses on prevention rather than just correcting current symptoms. I know it’s pretty simplistic and a lot of doctors, those practically trained would tell me I’m all wet.

However, I have first-hand knowledge of the use of homeopathic medicines to treat an internal bleeding problem. I also use homeopathic medicine to treat general low energy issues, body pain, and sleep loss. We have all experienced these three problems and many more.

The following is my list of health areas where I no longer need to use medications or prescription drugs.

1. headaches
2. Inflammation in hands and muscles
3. Joints and ligaments
4. Body Bread
5.Low energy
6. Lack of quality sleep

In short, it pays to do your research on the things that ail you and then find alternative natural remedies. I look to treat with natural homeopathic products first and then allopathic second, if needed. Modify your diet to lower your total fat intake, and lastly, get outside and exercise at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

I am 54 years old, I do triathlons, marathons and endurance races and I have never felt better. I recently completed a 100 mile mountain bike ride in near 100 degree temperatures with 80% humidity in Wichita Falls, TX.
