What is Flivot? Flivot is a forum for animators on Adobe Flash and Pivot Stickfigure Animator. In this forum, we help new animators improve with constructive criticism. As they progress, they move to more exclusive forums where they will be allowed to post their animations and be judged by more advanced members. This method is very effective, as there are many different teachers who will help you offer different points of view on animation. This opens up many different paths for you to take and opens your eyes to what good animation looks like.
What is Pivot? Pivot Stickfigure Animator is easy-to-use animation software for people who are just getting started with animation or who want to hone their animation skills and knowledge.
Why should I start the animation? Animation is a great way to get into the art world, which can offer many different career opportunities, and in this job market, we could use a few more options. Animation is fun too, and getting paid well to do something you enjoy is the American dream, but not everyone will enjoy it. At first, I was put off by the big shots that made my animations look horrible, but I didn’t give up. Now I am MUCH better and I feel very good about the product of my work.
What animation software should I choose? Choosing an animation software usually depends on which one you find first. But you have to find something that best suits your style.
EasyToon – Very similar to flash, you should choose this if you want to animate more cartoons and schematics. Pivot: much easier than most other animation software. You should choose this if you are not the best artist and you like animations that are not sketchy or cartoonish at all, but it is more difficult to draw on this.
Flash – the most professional animation software out there. Very powerful in use, it definitely creates the most effective animations; but it is priced high at $ 700, unless you want to break the law and use free software or a keygen (DOING THIS WILL RESULT IN THE INTERNET SHUTDOWN FOREVER).
Pencil – fun to use, it’s for the great artist. It is drawing software where you draw each frame from scratch and you can save it as an animation.
Other: If it doesn’t match the other categories, look for a different animation software.
