- First of all, players should know that a minimum of four players is required to play this version of the poker card game. Also, you need four decks of cards for Mexican poker. If you want to add more people to the group, you must also add more decks of cards. A simple rule to remember is to add one deck of cards for every two players.
- Now you need to shuffle the four decks of cards and deal the cards to the players seated around the table. The number of cards to be dealt depends on the hand you would play. Once you have finished dealing cards, the undistributed cards can be placed in the center of the table. You must remove the top card from the pile and place it side up. This would be the pile to hold the discarded cards.
