Why is JEE Main important?

While paper 1 is just for students interested in B.Tech/B.E programmes, paper 2 is for those interested in B.Planning and B.Arch programmes. Another important distinction between paper 1 and paper 2 is that paper 1 only has an online mode of examination, whilst paper 2 only has an offline form of assessment.
JEE Advanced, on the other hand, promotes entrance to India’s IITs, which is still another reason why the JEE is so essential. JEE Advanced has a greater difficulty level than JEE Mains, and the rationale for this is understandable. Top schools, such as IITs, exclusively recognise JEE advanced scores and provide places accordingly. In the year 2019, a total of 1,61,319 students applied for both JEE Advanced exams, with just 38,705 passing the test. The number alone indicates the level of competition you will encounter if you decide to take the exam. Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main
Before filling out the JEE Main 2022 application form, students should make sure they meet the qualifying requirements. Candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility requirements will be denied at any point during the admissions process. For NIT and IIIT admissions, 75 percent of the criterion from the previous year’s JEE Main have been eliminated. At JEE main’s official website, the NTA will publish the JEE Main 2022 eligibility requirements along with the official announcement.
Qualifying exam – In 2020 or 2021, students must have completed the 12th grade or qualified for the test.Candidates who will be taking their 12th grade or comparable qualifying examinations in 2022 are also eligible to apply.
Age Restriction – There is no upper age limit for taking the JEE Main 2022 test. Any student who has completed or will complete the 12th grade or its equivalent test in the years 2020, 2021, or 2022 is eligible to take the admission exam.
Total number of attempts- Students can take the JEE Main test for three years in a row. The admission examination will be held four times a year.
Subjects – B.E/B.Tech: He or she must have passed the qualifying test in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the other subjects (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject). B.Arch.: He or she must have passed the qualifying test in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. B.Plan: He or she should have received a passing grade on the qualifying test in Mathematics.
