Before each new season, we all ask ourselves “who will our team sign?”.

See what you think of my predictions:

Fernando Torres

Liverpool > Chelsea

With Liverpool now failing in all areas Fernando Torres will want to start winning trophies and he knows Liverpool FC is not the place, there were rumors of a Barcelona move however that won’t happen now and he would never join Real Madrid.

Chelsea succeed and look to build on that. With Drogba and Anelka at 30-31 years old, they will carry on for the next 2 years, therefore Torres will take over.

Approximate fee: £40 million

Karim Benzema

Real Madrid > Manchester United

It is well known that Sir Alex is a fan of this young Frenchman and he showed promise at Lyon, however he has had a difficult season in Madrid, a bad season in Madrid is normally the end and I expect the same result here. Man United need the striker with Berbatov out and Owen injured, he invariably rests on Rooney’s shoulders.

Approximate fee: £22 million

cesc fabergas

Arsenal > Barcelona

If this happens I would be surprised, Fabergas has publicly stated his desire to move and when that happens he cannot stop it, he would be another fantastic signing following David Villa to the Camp Nou as he would join the other Spain internationals like Puyol, Piqué, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Pedro.

Approximate fee: £40 million

Wesley Sneijder

Inter Milan > Chelsea

I am writing this article ahead of the WC final, however, regardless of this fact, he has had a fantastic season and great World Cup campaign, he has matured into the talent that showed promise in his Ajax days, scoring goals from all angles and distances including dead ball ability, he has quickly become a hot property.

With a host of big clubs interested, such as Manchester United, City and Chelsea, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Of course, there is a chance that he will stay with the European champions, but when money talks, players often move.

Approximate fee: £35 million

Inter Milan > Real Madrid

What signature would this be? In my opinion, Maicon is the best right back in the world, he has everything, even goals. Although he has been successful in the league and in Europe, I suspect he fancy a new challenge and follow his former manager to Madrid, which would mean Sergio Ramos would move to central defense should it happen.

It’s a glamorous move and the Spanish league is a faster pace to follow Maicon’s game.

Approximate fee: £25 million

edin dzeko

Wolfsburg > Man City

With new manager Steve Mclaren at the helm, he needs funds to turn around this now faltering team, starting with the sale of Edin Dzeko, the tall striker is a goalscorer in the Bundesliga but for the fee involved it’s risky. The Premier League tends to find players and I think it will happen to Dzeko.

We will see.

Approximate fee: £30 million
