Ben and the Omnitrix
The Omnitrix is the focus of the series. It is a mysterious watch-like device that grants the user the power to transform into 10 alien characters. Ben discovers the Omnitrix in a capsule in the woods and then uses it on his arm. Select the alien silhouette by turning the face of the Omnitrix and it transforms into a particular alien character by pushing the face down.
He is the good guy who repeatedly transforms into various alien characters, taking on missions and fighting bad guys. He uses it to prevent disasters, fight villains, and save people from terror. Upon discovering the Omnitrix, he is transformed overnight into a hero in his small town of Bellwood. But it’s not far from mischief.
The entire Ben 10 series traces Ben’s life from a 4-year-old boy to a 16-year-old teenager. The original series was followed by numerous sequels, namely Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse. What made the Ben 10 character so popular was that young children could easily identify with him. At around the same age, they have similar characteristics and share similar interests as well.
Main characters –
Ben is helped on his good missions by Grandpa Max and Gwendolyn Tennyson. Gwendolyn is Ben’s short-tempered, paternal cousin sister. She is anodite. There’s Kevin Levin. Introduced as an opponent of the protagonist, he soon becomes a friend of Ben and joins his team along with Gwen. It is an osmosian.
Grandpa Max is Maxwell Tennyson. He is a semi-retired member of the Plumbers organization. Doting grandfather takes his grandchildren on summer trips. It is on one of these trips that Ben discovers the Omnitrix. Grandpa Max greatly influences his grandson’s life in his battle against the forces of evil. Vilgax is the alien warlord and Ben 10’s main enemy. He intends to steal the Omnitrix for his own evil motives.
Various mysterious and magical items also populate Ben Tennyson’s world.
